WOW!

Ok! so it has been a long time since I wrote a blog. Guess you could tell I went back to work. Things were crazy busy once I went back to work. My class was so excited to have me back, but cute story.... They all came in on my first morning back and continued on with their morning routine like nothing had changed. I stood and watched and finally said hey guys I am back. And they all kind of stood back and waved and said a hesitant hello or good morning. Come to find out after speaking to Laurie my long term sub, she had told them not to run up and hug me and jump on me because she said she was not sure how I was feeling recovery wise. Here I thought they were not not happy that I was back, but they were and the rest of the school year was great! We had a great field trip and Hunter came in for field day. The kids were so excited to meet him it was cute! They continuously referred to him as Baby Hunter. I think they thought his first name was Baby and his last name was Hunter. They are so cute and the best class EVER! I am scared but excited about what is to come next year! Anyways on to the good stuff, my little man! He is growing up so fast. On Easter he rolled over for the first time, at 3 months. I think he is just so stink-in cute! We started baby food once school was out he loved squash and sweet potatoes. I love him so much and everyday he is into something new and exciting! I took two grad class my first two full weeks of summer break. I did great I got A's in both classes which is fantastic, and 6 credits done! But it was a lot of work for those 2 weeks. But I rewarded myself with a family trip to the beach with my bestest and her family. It was great! Hunter loved the fireworks on the 4th of July! But we came home a little early, Hunter had a fever so we took him to the doctor, and he had a sinus infection and thrush. Poor baby :( We went for his 6 month check up and he got 3 shots, and he now weighs 15 pounds and he is 26 inches long. He is in the 10th percentile for his weight, and the 25-50 th percentile for his height. I am enjoying my time at home with him and looking forward to the weeks to come! Last night I put his bouncy seat together and he loves it! Today I did some major cleaning around the house, detail cleaning. Today is Oreo's birthday, can't believe she is 2 years old. So we are celebrating with frosty paws and ice cream! I promise to blog more now that it is summer and I have more time! I wish I could stay home instead of working I love this!!!!!!!! That's it for now...

Why do the weekends go by so quickly! Why is it I run out of time for the fun stuff and only have time for the stuff I don't really want to do? with that said today I cleaned the house which desperately needed to be done. Last night was nice I went up to my parents to have dinner. I love to see how much they love and adore Hunter. Wish Seth was feeling better so he could have joined us for dinner. But he has really been exhausted since he has been home from the cliffs. Tonight Sean, Alisha, Paige and Parker came over for dinner, it was great to see them since it has been a while since we have seen them. Really miss not spending lots of time with my best friend. Feeling kinda bummed about never have time to do anything that means a lot to me! Tomorrow is another busy busy day. And Seth has to work :(

My baby is 3 months old soon (in 3 days). His face has changed so much in the past 3 months, he is such a sweetie pie! He always giggle when you tickle his cheeks and chin it is too cute. He is always sucking on his fist, I think I am going to have a thumb sucker on my hands! This weekend is going to be an exciting and busy weekend. We are having a party at my parents for Seans homecoming. It will be great to see all of our friends and be able to hang out like old times. TGIF (tomorrow) I look forward to the weekends so much more now that little man is in our lives. I just wish I could spend every moment of everyday with him! Weekdays just stink because I feel like there is no down time to just enjoy my sweet little guy.

Monday, March 22, 2010

My goodness to get one moment to sit down and write a quick blog entry is like one in a million. Tomorrow little man will be 3 months old! I just can't believe it. I have to start taking more pictures because just in these past 3 months I feel like he has changes so much. Today I had a very rough day at work, only 59 more days until summer vacation! On a positive note today Seth and I have been together for 8 years! Just crazy! Yesterday we got a lot accomplished and Seth reminded me why I do love him so :) I woke up to a breakfast of Panara begals, yum! Seth finally took down the outside Christmas lights, with him being away for a month, snow, and having a baby the lights were not on the top of our priority list. I decorated for Spring/ Easter, and cleaned the house. Also, I put away my maternity clothes not sure if that is a good thing or not, kinda makes me realize that my body is not the same as it use to be! Saturday Seth came home for good not more running back and forth 3 hours to work! It is so great to be home as a family. Also Sean is home safe, and we are so happy! Tomorrow the beautiful Spring weather could come back, that would be nice :)

Lost an hour of sleep yesterday... but for some reason I felt like I had a very productive weekend. Saturday went to school to work on some stuff, then Hunter and I went to church. Saturday night, Seth and I went out to dinner. Sunday Seth had to go back down to the cliff's for work. For what we thought would be his last day down there, when they told him nope you have to work Monday and Tuesday night. (sigh) O how we miss having him home. It is tough keeping up with everything by myself. Sunday after Seth left I got the house cleaned up (thank goodness!). Then today was a typical Monday. Had a dentist appointment this evening, had to get some work done on my nerves in my gums. It is kinda painful now that the numbness is wearing off. Think I am going to take some Advil and get to bed. Dream about the night when my hubby can be home for good!

Friday, March 12, 2010

Wow it has been a while since I have had anytime to do anything, much less blog. And any minute now my sweet little boy will wake and I will once again run out of time. Life has been so busy since I have gone back to work. My life feels like ground hogs day the movie. Wake up, get ready, take Hunter to Joyce, go to work, pick him up, feed him, eat dinner, get baths, feed him, put him to bed, and then repeat. I miss spending quality snuggle time with him :( He sure is such a sweetie. The other day I picked him up from Joyce's and he smiled at me, it made me realize he loves me and all my hard work is paying off. Melted my heart :) I so look forward to the weekends when we can sleep in and cuddle and play! Seth has been away and I think he really misses being at home with us, we sure miss him! But tomorrow morning he will be home for "almost" good. He has to work Sunday night and then he will be home Monday morning for good. Until next year. I can't wait to spend some family time together tomorrow night. Tomorrow Seth needs his sleep so we are gong to get some stuff done at work, and then we will go to church. Then home we will come to spend time with each other! Everyday I love this kid even more than the day before. And everyday I think I can't love him anymore than I do today!

Monday's are rough, but so much better knowing my hubby is home! Seth got home as we were walking out this morning. Then tonight Hunter had a doctor's appointment. He weighs 9 pounds 10 ounces and is 22 inches long now! He is getting so big. He did really good, he cried for a little bit after they stuck my poor baby 4 times. Then he whimpered a little on the way home. I felt so bad for him. We got to spend some time together as a family. But Seth heads back to the cliffs tomorrow afternoon :( Need to go to bed, another long day tomorrow!

Sunday, February 28, 2010

Home sweet home! After a long weekend, spending time with my family, I am home sweet home. Nothing like being at home, however it is lonely without Seth. He will be home in the morning! I am so glad we had the day off on Friday it was great to spend a little extra time with Hunter. This is kinda easing my way back to work. Went to visit Seth's grandmother today, and then had dinner with his family. Now I am heading to bed, got to get up early to welcome my hubby home, and get to work. Tomorrow night Hunter has his 2 month doctors appointment, that means lots of shots :( My poor baby, and my poor husband who gets to come home for one night and is going to have a fussy little man. Hoping that my first full week of work goes well!

I feel like it has been forever, but it has been quite a week! Tuesday was my last day of maternity leave! So I spent the day getting ready, running last minute errands, went to dinner with my mom, and then went to Alisha's grandfather veiwing. My heart goes out to her and her family. Wednesday was my dreaded day back to work, however, my amazing long term sub made it so much easier on me. She told me Tuesday that everything was ready, and it was great to walk in and teach. I didn't have to worry about preparing anything. Of course Wednesday morning came and my stomach was in knots because I had to walk away from my sweet little boy. Ready to walk out of the house and the dog ran away. Dropped Hunter off at Joyce's and I did ok, then I got in the car and started crying like a baby. My gas light came on and I had to stop and get gas, and I looked like a bluppering idiot. I was late for my faculty meeting, and walked in with my eyes filled with tears. My students were so cute they came in and started doing thier morning jobs. Then they all asked for hugs and told me how much they missed me, it was cute! Then during free play the all made pictures and cards for Hunter. One of my girls said "wow you got shorter", and Ann's class said "she sure is small". It must be very different to see me not pregnant. They asked all kinds of questions and love looking at the pictures of Hunter. Wednesday night I went up to my parents to stay the rest of the week, because of yet again some snow, and lots of wind. I was very scared of losing power at home, when I am by myself. Thursday morning came and that horrible knot in my stomach came back and I said goodbye to my little man, and headed to work. My class is so good this year, they are such sweet kids, and the day is so busy that it does go by pretty fast. It feels so good to see my sweet baby boy after a long day away from him. Friday morning came and yes we got a tiny bit of snow. And yes my wish came true I get to spend the day with Hunter man! Enjoying every second of my family/ relaxing time this weekend!

Monday, February 22, 2010

Seth and I finally decided on godparents for our Hunter man. Yesterday my family had a remembrance mass at church for my grandfather. It was great to see our family all together. Plus it was Hunter's first time meeting most of my aunts, uncles, and cousins. Then we supported the boy scouts by eating at the pancake breakfast. Seeing the "kids" and family, and remembering my grandfather from so long ago, it makes you realize how fast time flies. Even on what seems like the slowest moving week of my life, I look back and you can even remember specific events from this long drawn out time. People (my self included) need to cherish time because it seems as though you blink and everything is changing. Enjoying this last little bit of time with my man before I have to return to work. We have some errands to run later, and then we are going to Franklin Square to share out birth story. Plus Diane is excited to see little man again!

Saturday, February 20, 2010

Well last night Seth and I did get to spend some time together we went out to dinner. His mom watched Hunter.l Then we came home and we were both exhausted. Then today Hunter and I went to Joyce's Surprise 60th birthday party. It was really nice! Afterwards we went out to dinner with the in-laws. Hunter was such a good boy, we had a very busy past few days. Running here there and everywhere, and he is such a great baby! Tonight I am beat. I decided to take a bath with Hunter for the very first time. It was so great and he was being so cute, then bathtime together ended quickly. And lets just say it ended with me getting another shower, and Hunter getting a separate second bath. I am looking forward to tomorrow, we have a service for my grandfather. Tomorrow will be the first time Hunter gets to meet some of my family! He has the cutest church outfit to wear, lets hope we can get out of the house with out spit up all over it. Another exciting day tomorrow!

Friday, February 19, 2010

Wow, busy last few days. Trying to get lots accomplished before next week comes. You know what I mean I can't even bare to say it! Yesterday we went out to lunch with Diane, and she said Hunter is the most beautiful baby she has ever seen. I have to agree! Then we ran a whole bunch of errands. And Hunter was so good, I have the best kid ever! Which makes leaving him even harder. Today we did a trial run at Joyce's for half a day. I actually did pretty good, I came home and cleaned the house. It was nice to get some stuff done without being interrupted with feedings and such. But I was so glad to go pick him up. Seth got bad news today, he has to leave to go down to Calvert Cliffs tomorrow afternoon. I really am going to miss him while he is away! Tonight hopefully we can spend some alone and family time together before he leaves.

Can't believe my little guy is 7 weeks old! Last night Seth surprised me with a princess crown charm for my pandora bracelet. And that's not it he is also going to buy me a new underarmor winter coat, since the only winter coat I have is my maternity coat. I love him so much, so I slipped a little I love you and thank you note in the pocket of his jeans today. Today Hunter and I went to our mommy and me luncheon, it is our last time going since next week I will be going back to work. I am so upset that I have to leave my little guy and my stay at home "mommyness" and go back to work. Although I do miss my girls, and my class, it is going to be so hard being away from Hunter all day! After lunch I went to my OB for my check up and she said everything looks great, she loved seeing Hunter. Then we stopped by the physical therapy place where I was three nights a week for the last three months of my pregnancy. We saw Kate my physical therapist, and she also loved meeting Hunter. And she was glad to hear that I have had no more pain since he was born. Today is ash Wednesday so most likely Hunter and I will be headed to church in a little while. Nana had to go into the hospital today, because she was having difficulty breathing, and her blood pressure was high. Hopefully everything is going to be ok. Tomorrow we are having lunch with Diane my birthing class teacher, I am really excited for her to meet Hunter. Very busy times, trying to fit everything in before heading back to work (tear).

Tuesday, February 16, 2010

Yesterday we ran lots of errands, I have a lot more to do today because I forgot about presidents day and everything was closed yesterday. Last night Alisha, Paige, and Parker came over for dinner, well breakfast for dinner. Seth made Paige a mickey mouse pancake, it was so cute, she loved it! Today is the second day getting up early, to get ready to go back to work, and I am exhausted. I have lots of running to do today, and I have one fussy little boy, who won't stop eating! Guess that's good, means he is growing! Today he is 7 weeks old, unbelievable he is getting so big :)

Happy Valentines Day! Well our first Valentines Day as a married couple and as a family was relaxing and special! Seth and I decided that presents were not really an option this Valentine's Day, it has been a year full of wonderful gifts, so no need for material things! I made Seth breakfast, and we spent the day with his family! Hunter wore his little heart breaker outfit for Valentines Day, and looked so adorable! (Pictures to come) Joyce came over to meet Hunter, and I am so glad we have her! I know she will take great care of my little man everyday. This week, starting today, we are trying to get into a routine for next week when I go back to work. I enjoy the kids in my class, and love the girls I work with, but it is going to be so hard to go back to work. I wish I could stay home with my little man forever, it breaks my heart to think of all the time, and different milestones that I am going to miss out on :( But for now I need to make the best of our last few days together. Today we have lots of errands to run, and tonight (depending on the weather) we are going to Franklin Square to meet Ms. Daine, she was our birthing class instructor. She is very excited to meet Hunter, and I am exciting to share my birth story with some new expecting mommy's and daddy's. It feels like just yesterday when we were sitting in birthing class listening to other mothers speak about their own birth stories. Time sure does fly! More snow today, are you crazy! I am so ready for spring!

Saturday, February 13, 2010

A week away from home! Snow came when expected, we got 19 inches of snow from the first storm. Then on Wednesday we got another 17 inches on top of that! So what I thought would be a two or three day stay at my parents house, soon became a whole week! Hunter was a real fuss bucket while at my parents, I don't think he felt so good. And I am sure he missed being home, and of course he missed his daddy. I know I really did miss him, just a taste of what it is going to be in a couple weeks when he leaves for the cliffs. We will miss him! Wonder if he misses us when we are apart? I truly can't believe how much snow we got this is just beyond anything I have ever seen. And I think it is kinda neat that we can forever remember Hunter's first winter as record breaking! Anyway we are home and tomorrow is Seth and I's first Valentine's Day as a married couple, and of course it is our first Valentines Day as a family. Nothing really excited planned but hopefully we will have a great day together! I really feel bad that I don't have anything special planned or to give Seth for Valentines Day, but I will have to make sure I let him know how much I appreciate and truly love him! Happy Valentines Day!!

Went to the county cheerleading competition last night was great to see all of my long lost cheer friends! Lindsey went with me and it was so cute to see her "show" off her nephew, she is such a proud aunt. Well I am up way to early, and packing up the car, cleaning up the house, and getting ready to head up to my parents house for.... well until I can drive again. Apparently there is a lot of talk about just how much snow we will get, but no matter what it is going to be A LOT! And it is interesting because last night on the news it said a 100% chance of snow, I don't think I have ever seen the weather man say 100%. So Hunter and I are headed up to my parents in just a few hours, to watch the snow fall. Seth will be out plowing, hope he stays safe, he loves playing in the snow :) Who knows when I will be able to make it home again, we shall soon see, but until then I plan on relaxing and enjoying my time with my family!

Snow Snow Snow! Everyone is talking about this massive snow storm that we are getting ready to have. Anyways we had some very beautiful snow on Tuesday night. After dinner I bundled Hunter up and stood on the porch for a minute with him so he could see the snow. We are definitely settling into a routine around here, which makes me very happy. Wednesday morning the snow had pretty much disappeared and we headed off to our mommy and baby luncheon at Franklin Square. It is really great to socialize with other brand new moms. Enjoyed lunch and headed home. Hunter was a little fussy and was spitting up a lot, so we had lots of snuggle time in the afternoon. Last night we decided since it looks like Seth will be plowing for the majority of the weekend, Friday morning we are going to head up to my parents to get snowed in. That means I have a lot to do around here today and tomorrow morning to get ready to head up there for the weekend. I have heard we are getting up to two feet of snow! I love the snow but not THAT much....crazy!

Tuesday, February 2, 2010

Ok yesterday was another busy to do list day! I got a lot accomplished around the house yesterday. And Oreo went to petco to get groomed, they love her there! They call her wild woman. I feel so bad that because of the baby and the weather she has not really had a chance to get out and run and play. This morning I am so excited because, Hunter smiled back at me! I was talking to him and I smiled at him and with his cute little dimpled smile he looked at me and smiled! Seth said he probably had to poop, but I check his diaper and it was a legitimate smile! It melted my heart, I love this kid :)

Sunday, January 31, 2010

Today I feel like I was very productive. Seth plowed snow this morning, and I cleaned the house. Then I made a cake and decorated for Valentines Day. Then we went to dinner at Becca and Todd's house to celebrate his safe return from over seas. Hunter got to meet lots of new friends, and see some others who we have not seen in a few weeks. It is so great to gather as a group of friends and enjoy each others stories and company. Helps remind you of the special people in your life, and enjoy the moments you get to spend together! Tomorrow will hopefully be another productive day, with a great big to do list.....

Saturday, January 30, 2010

Well today I headed to the county cheerleading competition to see some long lost special cheerleaders! I miss coaching so much but life has brought me other very special things to fill my time, like a husband, a house, and now a wonderful son! Anyway it started snowing and the roads got pretty bad fast so I ventured home. I got stuck and some cute little girls tried to help shovel the way up the street, that failed but it was so sweet of them to try. Then these two guys helped get me unstuck and I drove about 5 miles an hour all the way home! Thank goodness we made it home safely! It will be a long time before I try to drive in the snow again. All to find out that the competition was then canceled and rescheduled for Thursday night. Trying to clean up around the house now, enjoying that my boys are asleep on the sofa (so cute!) Enjoying the snow covered landscape from my window! Exciting day tomorrow we get to have dinner with some close friends, and celebrate that our friend Todd is home from yet another venture over seas to protect our country. So thank full to have people that are over there fighting to keep us safe!

Friday, January 29, 2010

Ok, so today Hunter got to visit with Katie and Megan. Megan and Katie insisted on me starting this blog thing, so here I am! And I have to say it is quite fun and I am very excited to share our families adventures as they occur. Today is Hunter is one month old so we began our day with a visit to the doctors for his one month check up. He is now 7 pounds and 13 ounces, he is 21 and 1/4 inches long. He is definitely growing! The doctor said he looks happy and healthy, which is such a blessing! He also had to get a shot, he screamed and I wanted to cry with him. Then we came home and Megan, Katie, and Lilly came over to visit my big man. This is when they insisted that I start this blog thing. Really glad I did, I think it is going to be fun. Anyways since the day is passing me by I had better try to get some of my motherly and wife type duties done. This house needs cleaned and dinner won't cook itself! Thanks for introducing me to the blog world Megan and Katie!
